Chalkies Beach - Haslewood Island
Type Approved Anchorage
Description Chalkies beach is aptly named for its powder white sandy beach. It is an excellent alternative to Whitehaven beach if that anchorage is crowded.

Overnight anchoring in Easterly conditions is slightly better than Whitehaven, with better protection from the wind.
Be Careful Of Coral Fringe at either end of the beach with a deep drop off at the southern end. Anchoring is not as easy as Whitehaven.
